Context
Vivaldi Calendario was developed by a team of three as an exploration of how a calendar could take on a more unusual physical form.
The Object
The calendar was built from a series of concentric circles. By rotating the layers, users could select the month and day, turning a familiar digital interaction into a tangible gesture.
The Process
The three of us worked together on the 3D model, then developed it as a physical object through laser cutting.
The Form
The prototype’s circular structure was the most important design choice. It gave the object stability while also making it feel present on a desk: not just a tool for checking a date, but a physical piece to live with.
Reflection
As one of my first projects, Vivaldi Calendario became a foundation for understanding collaborative work. It taught me how a shared process can turn individual ideas into one coherent object.
