Tracce Magazine identity

Context

Tracce was developed by a team of four for Triciclo, a social cooperative working in the circular economy. The project took the form of a printed fanzine designed to give second-hand objects a new narrative.

The Idea

Tracce looks at what is sold through Triciclo and asks people to see these objects differently. Rather than treating them as used goods, the magazine tells their stories and explores the familiar design objects that are often overlooked in everyday life.

The Audience

The fanzine was designed for young designers: readers who are interested in visual culture, objects and the value that can emerge from reuse.

The Visual Language

A central idea was to create an alphabet using chairs. This gave the magazine a playful typographic device while turning an ordinary, recognisable object into a visual system.

What I Made

Within the team, I focused on the image work, helping define how objects and visual references supported the editorial narrative.

Reflection

This project taught me how design can make a reality feel desirable without changing what it is. The challenge was to make a second-hand context feel relevant and compelling to someone who might otherwise overlook it.
